Hooters: The Movie

A pre-production film promo site that turns early interest into a mailing list before there's a trailer to show.

The problem

A film in pre-production has no trailer, no release date, and no footage — but it does have a story and momentum. The job is to capture interest now and hold it until there's something to premiere.

What I did

Told the origin up front

Clearwater, 1983, 'a very good bad idea' — the hook that makes the project feel like a story worth following, not just a title.

Turned status into proof of momentum

Script done, director hired, casting underway, filming targeted — production milestones as trust signals that this is really happening.

Built the capture around the theme

'Join the call sheet' — an email signup framed in film language, collecting the audience while the film is still being made.

Set the tone visually

A vintage, orange-and-cream treatment that matches the brand's era and the movie's period, so the promo feels on-brand before a frame is shot.

The result

A promo site that starts building an audience during pre-production — so there's a warm list to premiere to, not a cold start on release day.
